About the Project

We're moving our website off Wix to a platform that gives us more flexibility for content and writing (blog posts, long-form articles, easy publishing). We're looking for a freelance developer to recommend the right platform for our needs and lead the full migration.

Scope of Work

Audit our current Wix site (pages, design, functionality, SEO setup, traffic/URLs)

Recommend a new platform based on our need for content/writing flexibility (e.g. WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, or similar) — including a brief rationale on cost, ease of publishing, and long-term maintainability

Rebuild and migrate the site to the recommended platform, preserving design quality and core functionality

Migrate existing content (pages, blog posts, images, metadata)

Set up SEO redirects from old Wix URLs to new URLs to protect search rankings

Ensure the new site is easy for a non-technical person to update and publish new written content going forward

Test across devices/browsers before launch

Provide basic documentation or a short training session on how to add/edit content post-launch
